Tagged: shortcode grid video thumbnail

I’m trying to display my users’ gallery grids on their main profile tab.
I’m able to do this using a shortcode in this format
[um_gallery_albums user_id="1"], HOWEVER video uploads do not display their still images instead of the video thumbnail you just get black spots and the img references look like this
<img src="https://worldentertainmentresourcecompany.com/wp-content/uploads/um-gallery/3/https:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqnIWoaF6zU" />.
Compare that to the gallery pages (https://worldentertainmentresourcecompany.com/members/kennypetrowski/?profiletab=photos) where the img references there look like this:
<img src="//i.ytimg.com/vi/AqnIWoaF6zU/0.jpg?custom=true&w=150&h=1150" />
Please tell me theres an easy fix for this??!!
In leu of a fix, I could live with forcing my user’s main profile URL to automatically be their Photo Gallery page, but even when I do this I see the same issue with the video thumbnails. It appears this happens unless the URL is /members/kennypetrowski/?profiletab=photos.

Thanks for reaching out. I am in the process of adding some new video providers, I will take a look at this and try to make a work-around if necessary. It appears well for me but I will make some adjustments.November 13, 2017 at 12:20 pm #5873
Appreciate it! Any idea of ETA for a possible work-around? I have a client here who’s really eager to have this working on his site and I want to appropriately manage his expectations.
Thanks so much!November 13, 2017 at 12:25 pm #5874
I will begin immediately but I am not absolutely sure of the outcome. I may send you a few versions to try out on your site to see which works best for you or we can discuss providing access to your site over email and I make the fixes catered to your site.November 13, 2017 at 12:29 pm #5875
Sounds good! You let me know what’s best for you. I also tested it on another dev site and had the same results. We’re hosting with WP Engine.. not sure if server settings could have something to do with it.
